'Mario came out so drawn-out ago most people forgot': New York City tall school teacher tells students Yoshi is trans and Peach a cis woman loving woman as she gives Nintendo characters sexual gender identities

A high school teacher told her students Nintendo characters have different sexual and gender identities as she claimed Mario is homosexual while Princess Peach is a 'massive lesbian.'

Remy Elliott, who is employed by the New York Metropolis Department of Education, made the comments in a presentation to students during a Gay Straight Alliance after-school club meeting.

In a video uploaded to her TikTok account, she reshared the powerpoint, alleging Princess Daisy is 'hella pansexual, polyamorous' while Luigi is a 'demisexual dude.'

Elliott, who has over 81,000 followers and identifies as double attraction, has since deleted the videos and made her profile private.

She is certified under the name Jeremy William Elliott and currently teaches 9th grade at the DOE though previously taught younger grades, Fox News reports.

'The Super Mario Bros. Movie' at centre of homophobia controversy: I hope Luigi is gay

Controversy has sparked in Colombia following the government's unusual social media comment on 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie'.

A few days after the movie's release, Super Mario has already broken several box office records, making it one of the most successful movies so far in 2023.

The Colombian government's post about 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie'

However, the movie is making headlines for some very different reasons in Colombia.

Many social media users were taken by surprise when the Colombian Ministry of the Interior responded to a tweet claiming that Super Mario was heterosexual.

The Ministry's official account quoted the aforementioned tweet and replied "I hope Luigi is gay".

It should be noted that the word used in Spanish "marica" can be an especially offensive word.

The post received numerous replies, with social media users hitting out at the Ministry of the Interior.

Apology from Colombian Government

The Colombian Ministry of the Interior went on to delete the tweet before issuing a public apology and stressing that they are in favour of all initiatives that help LGB

REDMOND, Wash. — Nintendo is reportedly hoping to cause some positive news during Pride Month by announcing that, any day now, Mario is going to experiment with homosexuality for the first time in his 30 year career.

“The time is now for Mario to try a little bit of lgbtq+ stuff, and frankly it has been too long,” said Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser. “Nintendo has failed to properly capitalize on this growing movement in a profitable way, and as such, we’re gonna make up for lost time by making Mario just depart completely hog wild on honestly probably a couple of different partners this month. Should be very exciting.”

“Look out, Chargin’ Chuck,” he added.

The announcement was seen by many gamers as the latest in a series of hollow profiteering done in the name of Pride Month by corporations.

“Whoa, so you’re telling me Nintendo is embracing gay culture as soon as the coast is 100 percent dispel and not a second sooner,” asked Ashley Davis, a local gamer. “Color me fucking surprised. At least they’re going for it though and apparently having Mario get in there and get his hands dirty. Most of these corporations just slap a rainbow on their storefront and call it

9 Nintendo Characters You Didn't Know Were LGBTQ+

Plenty of gamers have been celebrating Pride Month in their favorite games. Several games, from huge AAA experiences to indie projects, have included LGBT+ characters (and character creation options). While has been largely normalized in the industry now, that hasn't always been the case.

While Nintendo's history with upfront LGBT+ characters doesn't go as far back as some other companies, there's no doubt that big progress has been made. Fire Emblem: Three Houses was a major step forward for the publisher. Traditionally, though, Nintendo has kept its LGBT elements in the background, which makes it possible that players didn’t know some characters from their classic library are part of that community.

Birdo/Birdetta - Super Mario Bros. 2

Birdo has been appearing in Mario properties consistently since the 80s, but the business has been inconsistent with how it depicts its pink dinosaur. Her first appearance was in Super Mario Bros. 2, and the manual explained (with outdated wording) that the character is a transitioned female that sometimes prefers the name "Birdette," though Birdo is stil
