As a conservative gay male (yes we exist) who once lived in Herndon I dont see what the big hype is about a gay bar, gays are everywhere these days and people seem to be accepting it more and more. One of the reasons I chose to move to the Northern Va/Dc area was to be in a place where people didnt really care about my sexuality, even though I am not one to be affectionate to my partner in public (just because that is not me) I know that people dont really offer a crap about who I date around here, they are so hectic with their own being that they dont even notice half the hour. So an irish pub just opened across from it, how come people didnt get mad about that? Look its just another bar wether its a gay bar or not it dosnt matter.. as far as Herndon being run down: I dissagree. Herndon does own some rough spots here and there and I didnt particularly enjoy living in Herndon, I perceive its just the complex I lived in that I didnt like; and I perfer where I live in Centreville but I do miss the old town Herndon area.
